Drinking local beer in Poznan’s stary rynek is another must, and Gdansk is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway. While Jelenia Gora is a place to visit on a road trip in Central Europe to experience true Polish atmosphere with only few other tourists, Szczecin is a short excursion from Berlin and an example of non-touristy big-city-life.
Most of the Polish destinations I have visited are great for weekend breaks but will urge you to spend more time and travel around. Both train and car travel are a breeze in Poland!
